ESCAP/WMO Typhoon Committee (TC) Working Group on Hydrology (WGH) successfully held its 13th working meeting which was joint organized by Typhoon Committee Secretariat (TCS), Information Center (IC) of the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR), and Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute (NHRI) in cooperation with Nanjing Research Institute of Hydrology and Water Conservation Automation (NIHWA) in Nanjing, China on 22-24 October 2024.

The AOP1 workshop on Knowledge Sharing and Capacity Building in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) was successfully held from September 24 to 26, 2024. This workshop was organized by the National Disaster Management Research Institute (NDMI), Republic of Korea and aimed to strengthen our collective capabilities in disaster risk management.

ESCAP/WMO Typhoon Committee (TC) Working Group on Hydrology (WGH) AOP1 training course on Knowledge Sharing on Pacific Ocean Storm Surge Inundation Modeling (POSSIM) was joint organized by Typhoon Committee Secretariat (TCS) and Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST) (WMO Regional Training Center Nanjing) in Nanjing, China from 23 to 27 September 2024.
