The 21st Annual Meeting of the Typhoon Committee Working Group on Disaster Risk and Reduction (WGDRR) was held in Seoul, Republic of Korea (19–22 May 2026) under the theme “Community-Centered Disaster Risk Reduction”: Strengthening Evacuation Capacity and Building Sustainable Resilience.” About 40 participants from members and representatives from ESCAP, WMO, TCS, DRR members (China, Hong Kong China, Japan, Lao PDR, Macao China, Malaysia, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Thailand, Vietnam) and AWG members. WGDRR members reviewed this year’s AOPs and discussed 2027 AOP. Members shared valuable experience during the meeting.
