The 8th Annual Meeting of Working Group on Meteorology

The 8th Annual Meeting of the ESCAP/WMO Typhoon Committee Working Group on Meteorology (WGM) was hosted by Hong Kong, China this year and the meeting was held at the Hong Kong Observatory Headquarters from 21 to 22 October 2025.
The annual meeting served as a platform for strengthening collaboration among Typhoon Committee Members and advancing the region's capacity to address the challenges posed by tropical cyclones. Representatives of 12 Members presented the latest reports. In addition, the progress of the annual priority plans of WGM in 2025 and future implementation plans for 2026 were reviewed and discussed.
