The 20th Annual Meeting of Typhoon Committee Working Group on Disaster Risk and Reduction (WGDRR), "Shifting Paradigms in Disaster Risk Reduction: Strategies for Climate Change Risks", was held in Seoul, Republic of Korea on May 27-30, 2025.
Around 50 participants from members and representatives from ESCAP, WMO, TCS, DRR members (China, Hong Kong China, Japan, Lao PDR, Macao China, Malaysia, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Thailand, USA(Guam), Vietnam) and AWG members participated in the meeting.
The main objective of the meeting is to review this year AOPs and discuss the AOPs of 2026. Participants presented their membership report and exchanged valuable insights on disaster risk and reduction issues.
