EDUCATIONAL VIDEO ABOUT TYPHOON HAZARDS

The Typhoon Committee Working Group on Disaster Risk and Reduction would like to share an educational video “Typhoon Hazards: Strong Winds, Heavy rain, High Seas”, produced by Hong Kong Observatory. The video explores the primary hazards associated with typhoons and the devastating impacts they can have on communities.  It is hope that the public will understand the initial conditions of the typhoon hazards can be deceptively calm. However, this brief period of tranquillity rapidly always gives way to destructive forces. The video comes with English voice-over and subtitles and is free to download and use in the disaster prevention education and promotion work.
